How many times have you heard of digital theft? You may have heard of digital theft in another way such has digital piracy or gaining access to service that an individual did not or does not intend on paying. There are many types of digital theft and all are covered by laws to protect service providers and client end and end users. In other words, consumers and companies are protected from the thieves that either steal service or steal your information.

When a digital thief accesses a services, downloads of copyright materials, stolen information from you or anything else taken from you digitally with-out your permission or authorization. What makes theft of digital services; when an individual agrees to pay for a service they have or about to render and then decline to pay, along with using fraudulent information to gain that access to that service. What makes theft of copyright material; when you download then use or sell material such as movies or music with-out paying for it. What makes theft of your information; when someone gains access to your data and information with-out permission or authority.

If you own a company and do business over the Internet, your dealing with many factors. The main factor is that your out to make money and therefore set up services and resources for consumers to use. In doing this, you have to set rules and policies that not everyone is going to agree with but when you make your terms, rules and policies available in a readable format, they all have to agree to it regardless to use the service. Many times consumer won’t read those rules and when things do not work out the way they assumed they would, they want to say, “I didn’t agree to that and I ain’t paying!” and think it’s over with. Well, when an individual says “I didn’t agree”, they had to agree in order to get the account and when they say, “I ain’t paying!”, that’s by law a criminal offense.

If you were a singer/actor and you made a movie or have cut an album, would you want folks taking advantage of you when you did all the hard work. Artists are stolen from every second of the day. Even if it’s not an individual we’re talking about, those companies that are producing the digital material also called digital entertainment spent mega bucks to create it. They deserve recognition about their products at their terms. It is piracy and theft if an individual is taking digital materials such as movies or music with out paying.

If an individual steals from you. It’s stealing from you and you should contact your local authorities for direction.

The calls for reform, to strengthen and to mostly enforce laws of digital theft are for all of us because there are way to many people out here getting cheated and the consequences to the cheater are null in most cases.
